1940's Art Deco Opal & Floral Diamond Halo Ring Handcrafted in Platinum

Gerardleon

GL192

Platinum was prohibited for decorative use during WWII and artists were forced to be creative with gold and gave birth to the Retro movement. In the late 1940's, post WWII, artists rushed back to platinum with nostalgia and created Deco pieces in an effort to relive and relish the good 'ol days. Featured here is a beautifully glowing opal hand crafted in platinum in a style very true to the Art Deco movement yet still honoring the nature's motifs and elements of the Retro movement. One of our favorites that showcases the transition of two jewelry movements dominated by Americans and revered by the world.
